Protech Fix AC-Therm Water-based anti-condensing wall covering, with excellent fixing and anchoring properties, with good coverage based on high penetration acrylic resins, 3M Glass Bubble, pigments, fillers and covering fillers. Suitable as an anti-condensation fixative primer, prior to painting or coating the plaster with anti-condensation paints or plasters (-THERM). Ideal for interventions on walls with mucilage deposits, bacterial phenomena and moulds. Due to its low thermal conductivity, it is particularly suitable for solving mould problems. It can be applied on any plaster (rustic, civil, plaster, dry mortar, plasterboard, concrete, prefabricated, exposed concrete, etc.). Made with special resins and additives it reduces the absorption of the support while allowing the necessary transpiration, uniforms the absorption making the application of the finishing coats easier. It always works in depth, which is why it is the ideal preparation for applying water-based paints or coatings. Adhesion is excellent even on particularly difficult surfaces, thanks to the use of special resins and the presence in the formulation of an adhesion promoter interacting between the support and the product. Filtene Fondogiunto Closed cell polyethylene foam kerb, compressible, to properly size the depth of the expansion joints (creation of the "third wall" or base material) before filling them with the polymeric sealants Protech Flex, PROTECH SIGILFLEX MONO or EG 91. It is available in profiles of circular cross-section of different diameter that will fit joints of any shape and size. Suitable for any type of joint between prefabricated elements, infills, bodies of different structures, partitions, doors and window frames, flooring. The insertion of a "joint base" filler material has many functions in both static and expansion joints: sizing the joint in the most appropriate shape and measurements for the characteristics of the sealant to be used, reducing the stresses internal to the sealant itself and on the adhesion to the walls; favouring the contact of the sealant with the side walls during joint filling; reducing sealant consumption. Filling the "joint base" for any type of joint between prefabricated elements, infills, bodies of different structures, partitions, doors and window frames, flooring, prior to laying the elastic sealant in the joint itself. The diameter of Filtene Fondogiunto should be about 25% greater than the width of the joint to allow a stable positioning of the profile and create sufficient resistance to the pressure exerted by the sealant during extrusion. Push with a tool with a rounded tip (free of sharp and pointy edges), capable of crossing the width of the joint, Filtene Fondogiunto, up to the desired depth and so as to leave on the surface an adequately deep seat for the subsequent sealant. Normally the depth of the sealing should be about half the width of the joint. Polyethylene foam is unaffected by solvents contained in the primers, but it is a good idea never to apply the adhesion promoter Protech Flex Primer on Filtene Fondogiunto, in order not to alter the anti-adherence properties. FILTENE can then be inserted into the joint after applying the primer, when the "dust-free time" is attained. Protech Balcony Solution based on special silane and siloxane resins in solvent, highly penetrating, transparent (colourless), for quickly, effectively and economically waterproofing balconies, tiled terraces, concrete roofings, external stairs, etc., without removing or intervening on the existing flooring. It does not change the appearance of the support on which it is applied and it does not alter the original slipperiness or its water vapour breathability. It is quick to apply and does not require skilled labour or professional equipment. The flooring treated will be usable after only 2 hours of laying. Protech Balcony is a product that is easy and quick to apply: simply spread it out with a scrubbing brush on clean and dry surfaces to solve the problem of infiltration. The active ingredient, effectively conveyed in a solvent, it penetrates fillings, substrate cracks and porosity rapidly and in-depth. Upon contact with air, it performs a polymerisation reaction that seals and waterproofs, perfectly and in depth, all discontinuities where it has managed to penetrate. After the reaction, the specific polymerised siloxane molecule is stable over time and does not labilise. Thus, the effective life of the product being applied on surfaces which are not subject to dynamic movements and seismic activity, is normally in excess of 10 years. If necessary, if new discontinuities, cracklings, cracks, fissures etc. appear after the first application of Protech Balcony, these may conveniently be resolved with a second application of the product. Given its intrinsically non-pellicular nature, the product will not be subject to fissures, tears, cracks, separations, deterioration and will not yellow over time, under the effects of UV rays (as occurs naturally for epoxy and/or polyurethane treatments). The surfacings treated with Protech Balcony will be resistant to mildew, moss, lichens and other biodeteriogenic bodies. Please note that the effectiveness in terms of water repellence, and watertightness of Protech Balcony has been certified with suitable tests conducted at the laboratories of the department of structural engineering of POLITECNICO DI MILANO (the Polytechnic of Milan). Quick waterproofing, of balconies, terraces, stairs, decks, tiled surfaces, concrete structures, and natural stones, without demolishing the existing flooring. Also for use on vertical surfaces particularly exposed to the inclemency of the weather and atmospheric agents (tiled, plastered, exposed brickwork, etc.). The application surfaces should be clean, free of incrustations, crumbling and non-adhering parts, dust etc. The vanishing points between tiles, if present, should be appropriately treated with suitable acid or alkali cleaners. In this respect it is recommended that the specific acid detergent Deterg-A, diluted with water at a ratio of 1:4. Rinse the treated surfaces with running water. Labile and non-adhering vanishing points, possibly removed, are required to be restored with high adhesion and deformability cement surfacers. In this respect it is advisable to use of the specific two-component waterproof and deformable filler Stucco Balcony. Wait for the necessary time (1-2 days) for drying the filling before applying Protech Balcony. Any expansion joints present, including those relating to the junction line of the tiled flooring and the perimeter kerb (typically made of granite or natural stone), will have to be sealed with high elasticity polymeric materials. In this respect, it is advisable to seal them with Protech Flex, assisted by laying Filtene Fondogiunto and the appropriate polyurethane primer Protech Flex Primer. Pour small amounts of product at a time and spread it evenly over the entire surface with a scrubbing brush or a "water squeegee", until complete impregnation of the support to be waterproofed. Set Protech Balcony with all due care in less accessible and more uncomfortable areas, by using a brush with long bristles or a sponge (edges, skirting boards, corners, sills, wells, chimney flues, discharges, etc.). Allow the product to penetrate for at least 60 minutes. Within maximum 120 minutes of application, remove the excess product on all surfaces treated with a cloth soaked in the diluent Nitro. The product consumption is on average about 0,125 l/m² of surface to be waterproofed; varying according to the absorption of the support and the size of any vanishing points. This product also serves well as a primer for casting joints between old and new concrete flooring. The concrete surfaces should be cured, dry, planar and absorbent, free from oils, detergents, powders and soiling. It is used for skimming and smoothing, both indoors and outdoors. This product is perfectly compatible with multiple substrates: lime-based plasters, lime cement, cementitious mortars, concretes, porous stone and brick. Its characteristics render it particularly suited to green building works and for restoring historic and monumental constructions. The maximum grain size of the aggregate is 0.9 mm. Sanastof is a product based on natural hydraulic lime, kaolin, marble dust, selected siliceous aggregates and lightweight aggregates with low elastic modulus, dimensionally stable. It is a natural product with high intrinsic breathability and does not have traces of resins, solvents, thinners and radioemissive aggregates. The product contains high tenacity microfibres that give great volumetric stability. The special hollow, rounded, dimensionally stable, aggregates give the skimming special thermal insulation qualities, filtration of potentially harmful soluble salts and reduction of the elastic modulus. The granulometric curve, the finesse of the binders and some natural rheological additives, make the product particularly smooth in the application phase, even when laid on supports with rough or difficult surfaces. The calibrated physical-mechanical characteristics guarantee perfect compatibility on different types of support, especially on traditional plasters and mortars. The microsilicic content of pozzolanic activity makes the skimming and the levelling performed with Sanastof extremely durable, even in aggressive exposure environments. Quick and easy application on various supports, such as: breathable finishing for wall coverings; skimming on modular insulation made of wood fibre or calcium silicate; levelling of plastered surfaces; skimming of concrete surfaces; levelling and skimming of restorations carried out with cementitious mortars; application with mainly thin thicknesses (from 1 to 4 mm) with simultaneous levelling of recesses, imperfections etc. In particularly harsh work conditions it is advisable to position the Armaglass 160 alkali-resistant fibreglass reinforcing mesh between the first and second coat (the mesh must be partially embedded in the first coat of Sanastof when it is still fresh). The breathability, combined with the other physical-chemical characteristics of the product, make the skimming carried out with Sanastof an ideal support to accommodate any kind of painting and in particular the mineral paints based on potassium silicate or lime putty. Sanastof is the breathable, low elastic modulus finish, recommended in all our dehumidifying systems carried out with: Sanatigh, Caleosana, Sanawarme, Unisan, Intosana. SANAKOLL is a low specific weight, low modulus of elasticity and highly breathable adhesive-skim coat. Its thermal conductivity value, < 0.2 W/mk, allows SANAKOLL to be classified in the family of thermal mortars in category T2, according to UNI EN 998/1. Its high breathability, combined with very low capillary absorption values, allows the transmission of water vapor and at the same time, thanks to special additives contained in the formula, counteracts the passage of liquid water.
